Day Run

This summer we started what we call a Day Run on Sundays. The run starts out after services at our meeting place.  Fatboy, a biker who helps with our ministry, goes out with his wife Bubbles, and they figure out a run for the day.  They plan two stops out and a final place to visit and eat. Then they plan two stops back for a complete day of fellowship and getting to know those whom we invited. Each stop gives us opportunity to get to know our visitors.

We had a total of 19 show up for the last ride. One biker said he is saved, but has not lived for Christ, and we had 4 others who do not know Christ. By the end of the day 3 of the visitors told us that they plan on coming back for our services.

This is the third Day Run we have put on this summer, and they have been a great success in opportunities for us to evangelize.

Sunday Fellowship

This summer we have had 2 fellowships at a biker's house with food, fellowship, and  fun in a nice swimming pool right after our service. This is a time for the regulars to get to know each other so we can better pray for and help in time of need.

Visit To Faith Bible Fellowship

Each month we try to visit a local church on a Sunday evening. This gives our people a chance to know what a local church is all about and also gives those who attend those churches a chance to see what our ministry is all about.

I had a surprise waiting for me this month at church. About 5 minutes before the sermon, Fatboy (a fellow biker) turns to me and shows me in the bulletin that I am the one delivering the message that night. I was never informed that I was speaking and was not prepared. Well, through God's grace I delivered a message that night. We were also blessed with a love offering, praise God. I want to praise God for helping me in a time of need.

A Letter From A Pastor in Ohio

I spoke to the Mulls back in May in Washington DC at the Rolling Thunder Rally. They needed direction on what is God's will in their lives. They  e-mailed me a month later asking for several more copies of booklets that I had given them back in May. I sent them 30 more, knowing they were going to use them to witness. What happened next is in the letter below (printer by permission):

"My name is Gary W. Bennett and I have the privilege of pastoring the First Church of God in Zanesville, OH. Bob & Barb Mull are people of whom you are familiar, and they have recently been attending the fellowship here.

I am writing you to address the impact that your ministry brings within the Body of Christ. The Mulls as you have recently found out are super people, neither very old in the Lord. They have been seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit in respect to where they must needs attend and be involved in ministry service. Their recent visit with your organization was a time of enlightenment on their behalf as to what direction to take. Whatever way the Holy Spirit worked within your outreach to them has definitely assisted them in better understanding the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Recently, the Lord has lead and allowed me to preach on a series of messages focusing on the Gospel of John and the "I AM's" of our Lord during our Am Worship services. As well, we began a study of deep focus on the Pauline writing of Romans on Wednesday evening Prayer & Study. Last evening, Bob came into the office and gave to me Printout booklet forms on the Gospel of John and on Romans. I have placed them out in the racks on many of the pews in the sanctuary. I trust these booklets will serve a great purpose in assisting our visitors and young believers in both worship events. I want to thank you for your generosity in presenting this gift to the Mulls, and from their giving heart to the fellowship.

Please know, that our fellowship of believers will be holding your ministry before the very Throne of Grace as you continue to endeavor to serve our Lord, honoring His Name. Thank you for serving Him and impacting a growing fellowship for His Cause. God is always good! God is always right!

Sincerely,

Gary W. Bennett, Senior Pastor"
